Early detection of skin signals
People with both mental illness and skin conditions are more prone to depression and suicidal thoughts. A study presented at the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Congress indicated that in patients experiencing their first episode of mental illness, those with accompanying skin problems such as rashes, itching, or photosensitivity had a significantly increased probability of developing depression and suicidal ideation in the short term.
