Researchers in British Columbia, western Canada, stumbled upon an incredible hunting method used by wild wolves. For years, in an effort to eradicate the invasive European green crab, the research team collaborated with local residents, placing crab traps in deep water that remained submerged at low tide. However, they were surprised to find the traps on the shore, the bait gone. The mystery was solved in May 2024 when they set up cameras. The footage showed a female wolf swimming to a buoy, dragging it to the shore, and pulling the rope connecting the trap. She then pulled the trap up, tore open the net, and retrieved the bait.
