The accident occurred near the UPS Worldport hub at the airport, with thick smoke and flames billowing into the sky.
According to preliminary reports, the aircraft exploded and caught fire shortly after takeoff. It was carrying approximately 25,000 gallons of jet fuel, causing the fire to spread rapidly.
