On Sunday (November 9), PM2.5 levels in New Delhi, the Indian capital, exceeded the World Health Organization's recommended daily maximum by more than 13 times. Dozens of protesters took to the streets that day, demanding that the government take action on years-long air pollution problems. Their signs read "I miss breathing" and "We need clean air now." The protesters said that air pollution occurs every year, but the government has no solutions, and the people must increase pressure for the government to take the issue seriously. (AFP)
