(AFP, Washington) U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed domestic media reports claiming he was losing energy, insisting he was full of energy and attacking the reporter as an "ugly, third-rate journalist."
The New York Times reported on Wednesday (November 26) that since beginning his second term this year, Trump's public appearances have been fewer and shorter than in the first year of his first term in 2017, and his domestic travel has also decreased significantly. He has occasionally shown signs of fatigue in public appearances, even dozing off for a few seconds at an event in the Oval Office in early November.
Trump subsequently posted a lengthy statement on social media, accusing journalist Katie Rogers, who wrote the report, of being a "third-rate journalist" assigned to write bad things about him, and calling her "ugly inside and out."
The report was co-authored by Rogers and journalist Dylan Freedman.
In the article, Trump listed his "achievements," such as sweeping seven swing states in last year's election, ending eight wars since taking office, and restoring global respect to the United States. He stated that he had "never worked so hard in his life," yet the New York Times, labeled "that bunch of radical left-wing lunatics," still published articles defaming him.

Nearly 80 years old, Trump is the oldest president in the United States and has recently faced numerous health concerns. The White House has been working hard to cultivate a robust image for him, even using artificial intelligence to create an image of him as a muscular superhero.
Trump has also emphasized that he recently passed a comprehensive cognitive test and that his physical examination results were perfect. He blasted The New York Times as "public enemy number one."
The New York Times responded that the report was accurate and based on facts, and that despite personal attacks, insults, and threats from Trump, it would not cease its reporting on the administration.
