On October 30th, in an NBA regular season game, the Lakers defeated the Timberwolves 116-115 on the road, thanks to Austin Reeves' buzzer-beating game-winner.
Former NBA player Chandler Parsons discussed Reeves' performance so far this season on the "Run It Back" show.
"I used to think that 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game was all Reeves was capable of. No offense, but those numbers would have earned him millions of dollars… But now he's far more than that. He's the Lakers' leading scorer, and he's fulfilling that role and performing exceptionally well," Parsons said.
"So I think that by the end of the season, Austin Reeves' numbers will be better than LeBron James's this season," Parsons concluded.
However, guests DeMarcus Cousins and Lou Williams on the show both shook their heads in disagreement with Parsons' statement.
In today's game, Reeves started and played 40 minutes, shooting 9-for-24 from the field, 3-for-11 from three-point range, and 7-for-7 from the free-throw line, scoring 28 points, 1 rebound, 16 assists, and 2 steals.
