On October 30th, in an NBA regular season game, the Timberwolves lost to the Lakers 115-116. After the game, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch gave an interview, discussing the team's defensive performance.
Finch stated, "Yes, I think we did a better job of slowing down their offensive initiation tonight, but we were a little lacking in our help defense on a lot of occasions. Then they got into a rhythm where they could drive to the basket with one or two dribbles, and they hit some difficult shots over us or near the paint. They got those opportunities too easily, and we have to show more defensive resilience."
The Timberwolves' next game will be against the Hornets on November 2nd.
