
October 30th - In an NBA regular season game, the Lakers defeated the Timberwolves 116-115 on the road, thanks to Austin Reeves' buzzer-beating game-winner.
Reeves started and played 40 minutes, shooting 9-for-24 from the field, 3-for-11 from three-point range, and 7-for-7 from the free-throw line, totaling 28 points, 1 rebound, 16 assists, and 2 steals.
In the first five games of the new season, Reeves is averaging 34.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 10 assists, and 1.8 steals.
Statistics show that Reeves is the first Lakers player since Jerry West (5 times) and Magic Johnson to record 170 points and 50 assists in five games.
Furthermore, Reeves is the first Lakers player in franchise history to average 30+ points and 10+ assists in his first five games of a new season.
