November 2nd - In Game 7 of the MLB World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied from a 0-3 deficit to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4, winning the series 4-3 and successfully defending their title for their ninth World Series championship.
The starting pitchers for Game 7 were Max Scherzer (Blue Jays) and Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers).
In the bottom of the third inning, Bechter hit a three-run homer, giving the Blue Jays a dream start and a 3-0 lead over the Dodgers.
In the top of the fourth inning, T. Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly, and Will Smith scored, putting the Dodgers down 1-3 to the Blue Jays.
In the top of the sixth inning, Edman hit a sacrifice fly, and Mookie Betts scored, adding another shot for the Dodgers, making it 2-3 to the Blue Jays.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Jimenez hit a single to right field, and Clement scored, giving the Blue Jays a 4-2 lead over the Dodgers.
In the top of the eighth inning, Maxi Munsey hit a solo home run, bringing the Dodgers within one point at 3-4.
In the top of the ninth inning, Rojas added another solo home run, tying the game at 4-4.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Dodgers completed two successful defensive plays with the Blue Jays' bases loaded. On the second play, Parhes fouled a teammate to catch the out, forcing overtime.
In the top of the eleventh inning, Will Smith hit a go-ahead solo home run, giving the Dodgers a 5-4 lead over the Blue Jays. This was the first home run in extra innings in the seventh game of the MLB World Series.
In the bottom of the eleventh inning, Yoshinobu Yamamoto closed the game for the Dodgers, completing a walk-off double play to end the game.
