November 2nd - In Game 7 of the World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3, winning the 2025 MLB World Series and becoming the first team since the New York Yankees in 2000 to successfully defend their title. The Yankees achieved a three-peat in 1998, 1999, and 2000, and the only team to achieve this feat before the Yankees was the Toronto Blue Jays in 1992 and 1993. This is the first time in Dodgers history that they have won consecutive World Series titles, and the first time a National League team has successfully defended their World Series title since the Reds in 1975 and 1976.
