
November 2nd - In Game 7 of the MLB World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in extra innings, winning the series 4-3 and successfully defending their title.
Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto of Japan was named Series MVP.
Throughout the series, Yamamoto started twice and came on as reliever once, including a game-winning 9-inning game in Game 2, which resulted in 10 strikeouts for the Blue Jays' batters.
In today's game, Yamamoto, who started Game 6 and threw 96 pitches, came off the bench and helped his team complete a walk-off double in the bottom of the 11th inning.
