October 18th: The Warriors lost to the Clippers 103-106 in today's NBA preseason game.
After the game, Warriors rookie Will Richard spoke with reporters. Speaking about his missed shot on a counterattack in the second quarter, he said:
"My legs just gave out. Looks like I need to go take an ice bath."
When asked if there was a "weird" part of the court that affected his performance, he jokingly said:
"Maybe that's the case. I'm going to blame it on that."
Talking about his two preseason starts and how he's adjusting to the NBA level, he said:
"I felt like I played pretty well. It was important for me to play with those veterans. I know this is a very experienced team, and I have to get up to speed quickly because they won't wait for you."
Richard played 27 minutes, shooting 5-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-10 from three-point range, for 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
