November 4th - In an NBA regular season game, the Boston Celtics lost to the Utah Jazz 103-105 at home.
In the final moments of the fourth quarter, Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was tripped by Jazz player Kiyant George, but the referees did not call a foul.
After the game, Jaylen Brown spoke about the refereeing in an interview.
"I knew they would definitely fine me. But as a referee, you can't make that kind of mistake in the crucial moments of a game… and the whole refereeing team fucking missed a call. It cost us the game, and that's unacceptable. I understand that mistakes can happen at any time, but just at that moment… it's absolutely unacceptable," Jaylen Brown said.
"Then the referees told me they didn't see it. How could they not see it? In the crucial moments of the fourth quarter, someone was tripped while carrying the ball, how could the referees not call a foul? That's fucking absurd," Jaylen Brown said.
In the game, Jaylen Brown started and played 38 minutes, shooting 13-for-28 from the field, 0-for-9 from three-point range, and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line, scoring 36 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
