November 6th - In an NBA regular season game, the Lakers defeated the Spurs 118-116 at home.
After the game, Ayton gave an interview, discussing the chemistry he's developing with his new teammates.
"I have to tip my hat to Redick. No matter who's on the court, JJ and the coaching staff have been pushing us to improve. They've been doing that since I came here from training camp, through the months in the gym this summer."
"He emphasizes every day the importance of developing a championship mentality, a championship physique, and championship communication. That's our motto, and that's the principle we've always followed. That spirit is incredibly infectious. Those players who are out, as long as they train hard, can return to the court, back into the lineup, like they never left."
In the game, Lakers center Deandre Ayton started and played 33 minutes, shooting 9-for-13 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and recording 1 steal and 2 blocks.
