November 12th - Today, American reporter Tim Cato published a lengthy article about Nico Harrison, mentioning:
There were early signs within the league that Harrison was struggling in his management role. Multiple league sources revealed that early in his tenure, other team executives found it difficult to reach him by phone, until more responsibilities were delegated to assistant general manager Matt Riccardi.
Some trades were severely unbalanced in terms of cost and reward: his attempt to trade two first-round picks for Kyle Kuzma—a move that would almost certainly have been a failure had the trade not fallen through.
Furthermore, an internal document revealed that Harrison ranked Jrue Holiday and Nikola Jokic on the same level of talent.
Although he was involved in player evaluation during his time at Nike, multiple league sources pointed out that from the beginning of his tenure, the industry questioned whether this evaluation ability could translate into an effective team-building system.
