Jack Jones's prediction came true as his overtime interception sealed the victory for the Dolphins.

At the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, in front of 78,610 fans, Jones made the game-winning interception.

He then mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo's signature celebration.

The interception set up the Dolphins to launch an attack from their 35-yard line. After several runs by De Von Archan, Riley Patterson converted a 29-yard field goal to seal a 16-13 victory.

After the game, Jones explained his instincts: “I have good vision, I’m an aggressive cornerback. I saw the tight end chip (block and short pass), had good vision, and tried to break through the defense.”

“I’m really lucky to be here,” Jones said after the win. “I just went through the offseason not knowing if I’d be on the team. As long as I’m here, whether I play or not, I feel lucky and happy.”

Jones signed with the Dolphins this summer, having previously played for the Las Vegas Raiders and the New England Patriots.

During his time with the Patriots, he faced legal issues but reached a deal with prosecutors to have eight weapons charges dropped in exchange for a year of probation and 48 hours of community service.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel spoke highly of Jones' story: "It's special because he's been through some adversity and got this opportunity here."

McDaniel revealed that they had in-depth conversations when Jones joined the team: "Losing could be the end of his career, and he knew that."

Jones repaid the coach's trust with a series of crucial performances. Last week, he also had a key forced fumble in the game against the Buffalo Bills, helping the Dolphins win 30-13.

McDaniel said, "He forced a fumble last week that was crucial for our win, and this time he again got his hands on the ball and made the interception. He's really good at capitalizing on opportunities."

This victory improved the Dolphins' record to 4-7 this season, marking their first winning streak of the season.

The Dolphins now go into the offseason with a two-game winning streak before hosting the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets.

“If we can maintain this level of performance week after week, we’re really hard to beat because we’re a good team,” Jones concluded.
