
October 19th - Today, according to Thunder reporter Clemente Almanza, the Oklahoma City Thunder officially announced that they have waived guard Darrick Whitehead, forward Malevi Lyons, and Zach Austin.
In the 2024-25 regular season, Whitehead played in 20 games for the Nets, averaging 5.7 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game, shooting 40.6% from the field and 44.6% from three-point range.
Lyons played in 34 games for the Thunder's G League team last season, averaging 10.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 49.6%.
Austin, an undrafted player, played in 32 games for the University of Pittsburgh as a senior, averaging 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game, shooting 42.4%.
All three players previously signed Exhibit 10 contracts with the Thunder.
