On November 22nd, Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson was interviewed by NBA reporter Marc J. Spears, during which he recalled his time being traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Brooklyn Nets. "I never actively requested a trade; that's not my style. I'm not the kind of person who's always looking for something better; I'm more of a 'water where you are' type," Johnson said. "When I was traded to Brooklyn, we were a playoff-caliber team. I hate the idea of being traded to a team and then trying to escape. So, I stayed there, worked on building team culture, establishing a sense of belonging and a system, and just lived each day as it came. When the team called me up and told me I was being traded again, I was ready. But other than that, I never actively requested a trade," Johnson said.
