After the game, when a reporter jokingly asked Wembanyama if he was planning to compete for the Sixth Man of the Year award, Wembanyama laughed and said:
"To be honest, I do have that thought, haha. I won't lie, I'll think about it again, but... can the Sixth Man of the Year win the MVP award?"
