October 20th: Timofey Mozgov recently discussed the Knicks trading him for Carmelo Anthony during his rookie season on a talk show.
Timoey Mozgov said: "We came to New York and signed a three-year contract... We were watching TV and the general manager was on the phone... 'Hey, Moxie, this wasn't my decision... But the owner took over and made the trade. So you're going to Denver tomorrow. 4 o'clock flight.' I was like, 'What?'"
In 2011, the Nuggets traded Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, Renaldo Balkman, and Shelden Williams to the Knicks for Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, $3 million in cash, and a 2014 first-round draft pick.
