According to previous reports, the Indiana Pacers and Aaron Nesmith have reached an early, two-year, $40.4 million contract extension.
With this contract, Nesmith's contract with the Pacers will run through the 2028-29 season.
NBA salary expert Bobby Marks subsequently listed the details of Nesmith's contract extension: $11 million in the 2025-26 season, $11 million in the 2026-27 season, $19.4 million in the 2027-28 season, and $21 million in the 2028-29 season.
NBA University, an American media outlet, commented: "For a player who has proven his ability as a starter on a Finals-caliber team, this is a truly incredible salary. The Indiana forward has been fantastic." Last season, Nesmith emerged as one of the Pacers' best defensive players. He appeared in 23 playoff games, averaging 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 28.3 minutes per game, shooting 47.2% from the field and 49.2% from three-point range.
