October 20th: Recently, Brooklyn Nets player Cameron Thomas was interviewed by reporters. Asked if he'd become a better playmaker this season after dishing out six assists in Friday's game, he replied, "No, I just play my game. Teams will double-team me, which leads to assists. If my teammates make shots, it counts as an assist. So I just play my game, and if it leads to assists, all the better.
But I'm still a scorer at heart. I also have to add playmaking, knowing when to pass the ball correctly and forcing the defense to be less cautious about gambles (not collapsing or helping). I read the game, it's that simple. Some nights have a lot of assists, and most nights have a lot of points. I just read the game and play with the space the defense gives me."
