October 20th: Today, Kings newcomer Russell Westbrook spoke with the media.
Reporter: What does coach Doug Christie expect of you?
Westbrook: Just let me be myself. It sounds simple, but it actually means a lot. He wants me to bring my character, values, and the lessons I've learned in the league to this team.
Reporter: You've played many games at the Kings' home court in the past. What are your impressions of the fans here?
Westbrook: They're really loud (laughs). When I played away games here before, they would always yell at me, and I actually liked it—it showed they cared.
Now that I'm a member of the home team, I'm looking forward to channeling that energy and leading the team to victory.
