October 20th: The Nets' official social media account recently updated its social media accounts, sharing a photo of Bill Melchiorni and wishing him a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday to Nets legend Bill Melchiorni!" the Nets official media post read.
Bill Melchiorni played for the then-New York Nets from 1969 to 1976, earning three ABA All-Star selections and winning two ABA championships (1974 and 1976).
The Nets retired his No. 25 jersey in September 1976.
