October 20th: Former NBA player Matt Barnes recently discussed the Magic on a podcast, stating that he believes Paul Banchero will be in the MVP discussion this season. Barnes stated, "The Magic have made a real leap forward this time. I don't think they traded for Desmond Bane to play as a secondary offensive player, a role he was forced into with the Grizzlies. I think he'll be the perfect third scoring option behind Banchero and Franz Wagner."
"I'm a huge fan of both Paul brothers, and Banchero deserves to be in the MVP discussion this season. He averaged nearly 30 points per game in his playoff career (actually 28.0 points).
