October 22nd: Rockets player Kevin Durant discussed Shin-Kyung in an interview today.
Durant said, "I've played with some big men who excelled in their position. They were great role players who could play well in the post, set screens, finish above the rim, and block shots. But Shin-Kyung can do almost all of those things, and he can also handle the ball on the perimeter like a guard. I can't wait to see how we mesh together and what this all brings."
In the 2024-25 playoffs, Alperen Shin-Kyung averaged 20.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
