October 22nd: Previously, Kings player Monk said in an interview: "I love Russell Westbrook's energy. He's another me on the court. He's probably one of my best teammates with the Lakers."
Westbrook recently gave a media interview and responded to Monk.
Westbrook said: "Obviously, I've known Monk since high school. He worked out with me in college. Knowing his story makes me a better teammate and a better brother to my teammates. I think this is something I look forward to and is part of my career journey. Being able to influence and inspire teammates, meeting different people, and hopefully motivating them to do more, I can inspire them and make them think they can do it, so I'm looking forward to doing these things."
