On October 22nd, the Warriors defeated the Lakers 119-109 in the NBA regular season.
After the game, Warriors forward Jimmy Butler spoke in an interview about his 16-for-16 free throw performance.
"I think I'll have a good free throw percentage this season. I once made a bet with Draymond (Green) that I'd have a better free throw percentage than number 30 (Stephen Curry), and he just shook his head and said, 'Wow, wow,'" Butler said with a smile.
The reporter then asked, "Do you think you can do it?"
Butler replied, "Of course I have to, and today was a good start."
Butler started the game and played 35 minutes, shooting 7-of-14 from the field, 1-of-2 from three-point range, and 16-of-16 from the free throw line for 31 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. Curry, on the other hand, shot 6-of-14 from the field, 3-of-9 from three-point range, and 8-of-8 from the free throw line for 23 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
