After the game, Spurs player Victor Wemban-Yama, who performed exceptionally well, spoke in an interview about the feeling of defeating their opponent by a huge margin in the nationally televised opening game.
"We needed to make a statement, and we did it with this win. We're all tired of losing...that's the truth," Wemban-Yama said.
