October 23rd: Rockets player Kevin Durant was interviewed by renowned reporter Marc J. Spears today.
As a basketball historian, Durant is also proud to have played on the same Rockets team as Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Calvin Murphy, and Elvin Hayes.
"It's an amazing feeling. The Rockets have so many legends I admire who laid the foundation for this team and forged the Rockets brand. Being a part of this great legacy is incredibly meaningful."
Regarding Fred VanVleet's serious injury, Durant lamented, "He was excited about the new season. He took a pay cut to stay with the team and became a leader and veteran in the locker room. He had so many opportunities to show his skills, and it was tough for him, but he's a tough guy. His attitude was, 'Don't feel bad for me. I'll keep rehabbing every day and be back soon.' That's his unwavering belief."
