On October 24th, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Pacers 141-135 in double overtime during the NBA regular season. After the game, Thunder player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gave a media interview.
Alexander said, "I'm tired, but that's to be expected. It's a great way to start the season. It helps me break the ice, shake off some of the unfamiliarity, work on my cardio, and get my conditioning back."
In the game, Alexander played 45 minutes, shooting 15-for-31 from the field, including 2-for-7 from three-point range, and 23-for-26 from the free throw line, finishing with 55 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.
