Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue commented on Billups, saying, "I've been able to contact Billups these past few days and can tell he's doing fine."
Lu said, "Billups and I have known each other since I was 17. We have a good relationship, and our families are close as well. I've been able to contact him these past few days and can tell from his voice that he's doing fine. He's confident in himself and understands what happened. His family will be with him through this time."
