"It's natural for teams to play harder and more motivated against the defending champions. That's to be expected," Alexander said. "But one of the things we emphasized at the beginning of the season was making sure we didn't take the regular season for granted. We didn't take any game or any night lightly; we viewed it as an opportunity for improvement as a team. I think if we can do that, no matter who we face, we can accomplish what we need to do. That's how we approach the game."
