On October 27th, the Lakers defeated the Kings 127-120 on the road in the NBA regular season.
Lakers guard Austin Reeves played brilliantly throughout the game. He started and played 39 minutes, going 12-for-22 from the field, 6-for-10 from three-point range, and 20-for-22 from the free throw line, finishing with 51 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals, for a plus-minus of +22.
After the game, reporter Sam Quinn commented on the Lakers, saying, "I think the strongest version of the Lakers is one where Reeves becomes the team's second-leading scorer, truly capable of competing for an All-Star berth, while LeBron reduces his scoring to around 18-20 points per night and focuses more on defense."
