On October 27th, during the NBA regular season, the Pistons defeated the Celtics 119-113. After the game, Pistons coach Michael Bickerstaff spoke with reporters about the improved defense in the second and third quarters.
"We really focused on our defense, period," Bickerstaff said. "We didn't do what's necessary to play good defense in the first quarter, but in the second and third quarters, I think we did."
In the second quarter, the Pistons scored 36 points, the Celtics 25. In the third quarter, the Pistons scored 34 points, the Celtics 23.
