
On October 28th, in Game 3 of the MLB World Series, Freeman hit a walk-off home run to help the Dodgers defeat the Blue Jays 6-5. This was Freeman's first game-winning shot in extra innings in the World Series in a year and two days.
He also became the first player in MLB history to hit two walk-off home runs in the World Series. Freeman became the fourth player to hit multiple walk-off home runs in the postseason, joining Carlos Correa, David Ortiz, and Bernie Williams (twice each).
